FK Haugesund sign Brazilian Bruno Soares

FK Haugesund announced today that they have signed a 1-year deal with Brazialian central defender Bruno Soares.

The 28-year old and 194 centimeters tall central defender whose full name is Bruno Gabriel Soares is originally from Belo Horizonte in Brazil and played for respectively Coritiba and Parana Clube in their home country before he headed for the 2. Bundesliga team MSV Duisburg in 2009. After 3 seasons with the club, he moved to Fortuna Dusseldorf where he spent another 3 seasons. He had over 100 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga before he moved to Kazakhstan and Kairat Almaty. With Kairat he won the Kazakhstan Cup and super Cup and finished 2nd in the league.

Bruno Soares has not played a competitive game for nearly a year but was able to impress FK Haugesund board on his trial last week where he also played in a friendly against Vard that they won 2-0.
